Titanic Pigeon Forge

The newest attraction in Pigeon Forge is something you can't miss, it's a huge ship that sits on the Parkway. Well, the front end of one anyway, still it is impressive and most will recognize it's profile from quite a distance. The long awaited Titanic Museum has arrived in time to commemorate the 98th anniversary of her sinking.

Visitors on board this Titanic will take an incredible historical journey. To many it will become personal, from the moment they receive their ticketed boarding pass. On their pass will be the story of an actual Titanic passenger or crew member. As today's visitor carries their pass throughout the museum they will eventually learn the fate of their chosen passenger in the Memorial Room at the end of the 2 hour self-guided tour. Through this, the museum celebrates the ship, her passengers and crew and pays respect to those who gave their lives by simply telling their stories.

Standing along the Parkway, even at half scale, the size of this Titanic is impressive. The smoke stacks towers 100 feet above the street, the large black bow is surrounded by water and even an iceberg to scale accompanies the view. Inside over 300 personal and private artifacts are displayed in several galleries, many have never been on display before.

Visitors will see an 18 foot scale model of the ship, experience the tight quarters in a Third Class Cabin and in the heart of the ship, will be able to climb a reproduction of the Grand Staircase, constructed from the original Harland & Wolff plans with its oak carvings and cherub statue. Moving on, visitors will view a first class cabin with all its luxury and space, the wireless room with authentic 1912 "state of the art" telegraph equipment and finally, the Memorial Room. where all the survivors and all the lost have their names etched on wall panels. The exhibits along the way include experiences such as shoveling coal into a burning furnace, touching an iceberg, stepping into a lifeboat, experiencing the tilt of the decks as the ship began to sink and standing on the ship’s bridge.

This amazing attraction is geared to all ages, for young guests eight and under there is a special section with various interactive elements for their little hands. It is also fully accessible to the disabled and is wheelchair friendly. They also have wheelchairs available.
